Exceptional Summer Facilities
Highlander Summer's state-of-the-art facilities, located on the campus of Lake Highland Preparatory School, play an instrumental role in making Highlander Summer a safe and enriching environment where campers can thrive. Campers have access to first-class resources that enable them to create, learn, perform, and play to their hearts' content.

Aquatic Center
The Aquatic Center features the official water polo pool from the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia. With a recent renovation in 2024, this 24-lane, 25-yard pool hosts each of our camp groups for an hour each day. The pool also includes a 13-foot diving well and an adjacent three- to six-foot, 25-yard pool for our youngest campers.
Gymnasiums
Highlander Summer boasts two athletic gymnasiums: The Weng Family Gymnasium on the main campus and The Charles Clayton Campus Gymnasium on the middle school campus. These multi-purpose facilities provide spacious indoor venues for games, activities, and select sports camps, such as basketball, cheer, and volleyball. In addition, campers enrolled in Day Camp enjoy weekly Fun Friday activities and the highly anticipated Color War competition at the end of the summer.
Lake Highland
Lake Highland is a 32-acre lake situated behind Highlander Summer. During the summer, day campers in grades 3 through 6 can be seen kayaking on one side of the lake. On the opposite bank, our Fishing campers cast their reels, hoping to catch various fish, including tilapia, bass, and spotted sunfish.
CNL Stadium
A 1,200-seat outdoor, open-air athletic field, the CNL Stadium hosts multiple sports camps, including football and soccer, as well as a variety of our outdoor Day Camp activities. This state-of-the-art artificial turf field has sewn-in game lines and is equipped with a scoreboard and video board.
Blackbox Theatre
The Johnny Holloway Blackbox Theatre is a flexible performance space that houses our SNL and Summer Musical campers. It is adaptable for a multitude of performance types and does not have a traditional stage or seating. A black box theatre allows directors and designers great freedom to create immersive environments without the constraints of a traditional proscenium theatre.
Lake Highland Athletic Complex
The Lake Highland Athletic Complex (LHAC) is an outdoor natural grass facility that includes a baseball field, the O’Meara Family Softball Field, six regulation tennis courts, and an auxiliary sports field. The LHAC hosts Baseball, Lacrosse, Archery, Soccer, and Tennis camps, providing an exceptional sports camp experience.
