Engage, Connect, & Thrive
Highlander Day Camp is a safe and structured environment where campers entering PreK through 6th grade spend an exciting week exploring new interests, building friendships, and being an integral part of their group’s success. Day Camp boasts a variety of dynamic games, activities, competitions, and more. It’s the perfect program for campers to unwind for the summer and be kids!
Registration will open on February 19 at noon.
Traditional Day Camp
Campers in kindergarten through 6th grade are placed in small subgroups called "cabins" based on rising grade levels and are led by a team of college-aged counselors and high school volunteers.
Throughout the week, these cabins engage in over 25 age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, including arts and crafts, capture-the-flag, field sports, kayaking (3rd through 6th grade), karaoke, scavenger hunts, pool time, waterslides, and more. Activities are led by adult specialists, ensuring a fun and enriching experience.
Tiny Tartans
The youngest Day Camp group, Tiny Tartans, includes rising PreK campers led by a certified teacher and other Lake Highland Preparatory School staff. This group moves together through a weekly schedule that incorporates elements of a typical PreK setting with traditional day camp components. Their daily routine includes activities in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), playtime, enrichment activities, and Day Camp activities such as gym or field games. Tiny Tartans also have designated days for outside water play.
